Crack Launcher

A hacking-themed puzzle game I built in 72 hours for Ludum Dare 46

Crack Launcher is a little puzzle game I made for Ludum Dare 46 back in 2020. I had just replayed Welcome to the Game II and wanted to make something in the same “you are sitting at a sketchy desktop, figure out what to do next” genre, but condensed down into a 72-hour jam entry.

The game is basically a fake launcher that you have to crack open, level by level, using progressively more obtuse puzzles. It was my first serious go at C# and Unity, and my memories of that weekend are mostly me fighting the engine’s build pipeline at 3am while my coffee went cold.

Shipping something in 72 hours with a language and engine I barely knew remains one of the more formative weekends of my life. It is also the reason I got hooked on programming properly, and a direct line runs from this jam entry to everything else on this page.
