TraderEdge
A backtesting and journaling platform for active traders
www.traderedge.appTraderEdge started as a Fiverr gig and grew into something considerably larger than either of us expected. The premise is simple: if you are an active trader, you want to know what your edge actually is. That means logging every trade, tagging why you took it, and then going back through the data to see what’s working and what is just noise.
The core of the app is a journaling and backtesting workflow. You can replay price history, take paper trades against it, and see the stats (win rate, expectancy, drawdown) on your actual behavior instead of your memory of it. The more trades go in, the more useful the feedback gets.
This was one of my first bigger freelance projects, and the one that basically kicked off my web-development trajectory. The client had been happy enough that they ended up pulling me onto other projects after it shipped, which set up most of the work I did in 2022.
